Posting Ads

How do I post an advertisement?

Sign in to your account and select Post Ad or Sell. Choose the most appropriate category, enter the details of your item or service, upload clear photographs, provide your asking price and location, and submit the advertisement.

How much does it cost to post an ad?

Standard advertisements may be free unless a fee is shown during the posting process. Optional services such as featured, promoted or business listings may carry a charge.

What information should I include in my ad?

Provide enough information for a buyer to understand exactly what you are offering. This should normally include an accurate title, description, price, condition, location and clear photographs.

For vehicles, property and other high-value items, include as much relevant information as reasonably possible.

Can I upload photographs?

Yes. Photographs help buyers understand what you are selling and generally make advertisements more attractive.

Where possible, use clear photographs of the actual item being advertised rather than stock images.

How many photos can I upload?

The maximum number of photographs allowed will be displayed while creating your advertisement and may vary depending on the category or listing package.

Why can't I find the right category?

Choose the category that most closely describes your listing. If you believe an important category is missing, you may contact SLU Shopper and suggest that it be added.

Generally, no. Duplicate advertisements may be removed. Instead, update or promote your existing advertisement where those options are available.

Advertisements remain active for the period shown when the listing is created. You may be given the option to renew or repost an advertisement after it expires.

Can I edit an advertisement after posting it?

How do I remove an item after it has been sold?

Open the advertisement from My Ads and mark it as Sold, Unavailable, or remove it using the available option.

Marking an item as sold helps prevent buyers from continuing to contact you.

How do I contact a seller?

Open the advertisement and use the available contact options, which may include SLU Shopper messaging, telephone or another contact method provided by the seller.

Does SLU Shopper guarantee the seller?

No. The presence of an advertisement on SLU Shopper does not guarantee the seller, item or transaction.

Where an offer or messaging feature is available, you may use it to communicate your offer to the seller. Otherwise, contact the seller using the information provided.
